Enjoy the company of an elephant in Pattaya at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. We promote the sustainable and ethical way of treating elephants and our little elephant village in Pattaya is an example of that. Our trained English-speaking guides give visitors insight into the behavior and the personal history of our elephants, while our mahouts help people realize incredible life experiences such as bathing elephants or feeding them by hand.
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is in the nearby Satthahip District just south of the main Pattaya city. You can visit the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary at two different times during the day. The morning visit takes place from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon visit takes place from 12:30 to 17:30 pm. The package deal includes two traditional Thai buffet meals, pick up and drop off to your accommodation in Pattaya (terms and conditions apply), drinking water and even food for feeding the elephants!
When you arrive at the Sanctuary, the guides will give you a basic overview of the tour, our elephant welfare programs, some information about the elephants and then traditional Karen clothes to wear during the tour.
You can also bring a camera with you but if you’re worried about taking photos with the elephants you need not worry. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers a photography service at no extra charge.
Throughout your visit at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, you will be feeding, bathing and even playing with the elephants. It is also important to us that you learn as much as possible about the elephants and why it is important to protect them. With the money we raise from visits and donations, we can contribute to elephant welfare. We rescue elephants, feed them, provide veterinary care as well as land and infrastructure for them to live on.

Afternoon Visit
10:00-10:30 Pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Bangkok
10:30 Drive approximately 2-2.5 hours to the southeast of Pattaya City to Pong District.
13.00-14.00 Arrive at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Pattaya. Enjoy a welcome snack, sip tea or coffee, and learn about elephants as you are given an introduction to our program. Change into traditional Karen clothing and assist with the preparation of natural dietary supplements for the elephants.
14.00 Meet the elephants. Feed them and administer dietary supplements as you learn their stories. Play, interact and take photos with the elephants in a natural setting.
14.45 Mud spa with the elephants.
15.15 Join the elephants in our specially constructed outdoor ‘Elephant Shower Room’ and cool down as you bathe them.
15.45 Use our facilities to take a (regular) shower, dry off, and change clothes.
16.00 Eat a lunch of traditional Thai food, freshly cooked Pad Thai, and seasonal fruit, before saying goodbye to the friendly elephants you can learn how to make Elephant poop paper.
16.30 Leave the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary.
18.30-19.30 Drop off at your hotel or accommodation. Time depends on your hotel location and traffic in Bangkok
Morning Visit

The stuff at the sanctuary is a group of dedicated people - to the cause of wellbeing of this polite and gentle creatures and to educating visitors about them. We had a blast taking care of elephants and socializing with them ! What a wonderful opportunity ! Highly recommend !

When we arrived we were greeted with friendly staffs with excellent English speaking skill. And I especially appreciate the complemantry snack and drinks stations. The changing rooms/ shower&toilets were very spacious and clean. I actually fell in love with one of the elephant name Nani, she was so gentle and friendly. I would love to visit this santuary again in the near future. Definitely recommend this lovely place to my friends and family.

But more important is that they are now in the sanctuary where they can have a life without a chain and get treated well. The keepers and guides where really friendly to the elephants and of course also to us! The thai buffet was also really delicious!
